With their eyes set on continuing their journey together, they enrolled at Kakegawa High - a newly-founded institution solely based on the talent of its star player and the boys' idol, Yoshiharu Kubo. Back in their junior high years, they formed the Kakenishi golden trio, leading their school's soccer squad to a top contender status. The legend of Aoki Densetsu Shoot! (or Shoot!) follows the journey of Toshihiko Tanaka, Kenji Shiraishi, and Kazuhiro Hiramatsu - three inseparable high school freshmen who developed a strong bond through their passion for soccer.
